Scoping Meeting for a Potential Severe Weather Forecasting Programme (SWFP) for Central America

This introductory meeting, organized by the WMO Regional Office for the Americas and the WMO Disaster Risk Reduction Technical Development (DTD) Division, invites Permanent Representatives, Hydrological Advisers, and experts of the Regional Association IV to discuss the potential scope of implementing the Severe Weather Forecasting Programme (SWFP) in Central America and evaluate the added value of the implementation of this programme for the region.
The meeting will take place online via Zoom on Tuesday, 25 June 2024, from 14:00 to 16:00 UTC and will be facilitated in Spanish and English.

Esta primera reunión exploratoria, organizada por la Oficina Regional de la OMM para las Américas y la División de Desarrollo Técnico para la Reducción del Riesgo de Desastres (DTD) de la OMM, invita a los Representantes Permanentes, Asesores Hidrológicos y expertos de la Asociación Regional IV a discutir el alcance potencial de la implementación del Programa de Predicciones de Fenómenos Meteorológicos Extremos (SWFP) en América Central y evaluar el valor agregado de la implementación de este programa para la región.
