The Moscow training marked another important step in expanding multilingual WIS2 capacity development, in addition to one earlier session in WIS2 training in Brazil in 2024 in Spanish. The event was fully localized, including the setup of hands-on WIS2 practice sessions and the translation of all training materials — from presentations to WMO ETRP Moodle pages — into Russian.

By empowering Members with the skills and tools needed to implement WIS2, WMO continues to strengthen the global data exchange in support of the strategic goals.
