RA IV Introductory Workshop on ABO and WICAP
Introductory Workshop on ABO and WICAP for RA IV will take place virtually through an online platform on 18 May 2021.
The workshop will provide a general introduction to Aircraft-Based Observations (ABO) and the WMO-IATA Collaborative AMDAR Programme (WICAP) and will allow the exchange of experiences based on presentations by various RA IV Members. It will also promote discussion on challenges and opportunities at the regional and national levels, as well as on the possibilities of collaboration between National Meteorological Services and National Civil Aviation Institutions. In addition, this activity will address the main regional concerns about ABO and WICAP and possible ways to move forward, training activities, as well as the opportunity for further coordination with International Air Transport Association (IATA).
