The Expert Team on Operational Weather Forecasting System (ET-OWFS) reviews and updates relevant procedures, supports WIPPS centres, and guides the integration of Earth System Prediction (ESP) for severe and high-impact weather forecasting. It evaluates designated centres, advances impact-based and probabilistic forecasting, promotes training for forecasters, and collaborates with WMO bodies to improve operational systems and services for disaster risk reduction and early warning.
