Open call: Join the WWRP community

The World Weather Research Programme (WWRP) is inviting nominations for new members to join its scientific groups and the Polar Coupled Analysis and Prediction for Services (PCAPS) Project, with appointments beginning in January 2027.

Opportunities are available across the following topics:

  • Data assimilation and observing systems
  • Weather modification
  • Predictability, dynamics and ensemble forecasting
  • Nowcasting and mesoscale research
  • Tropical meteorology research
  • Polar prediction and services

WWRP particularly encourages applications from Early Career Professionals. New members will contribute to international research collaboration and scientific activities supporting better weather prediction for society. 

The deadline for applications is 30 September 2026.
