Pursuant to Resolution 3 (INFCOM-3), the Standing Committee on WIPPS (SC-WIPPS) was re-established and has been actively engaged in delivering its expected outcomes in alignment with the workplan of the Commission for Observation, Infrastructure and Information Systems (INFCOM) as defined under Resolution 1 (INFCOM-3). In addition, SC-WIPPS has initiated work to address the new requests arising from the outcomes of the seventy-ninth session of the Executive Council (EC-79) (2025) and the Extraordinary Session of the World Meteorological Congress (Cg-Ext (2025)).   

In preparation for the fourth session of INFCOM, SC-WIPPS organizes a hybrid meeting aiming at consolidating and reviewing all deliverables achieved during this intersessional period, developing a workplan for the next intersessional period, and to facilitating discussions on the new WIPPS strategy.
