RA VI RCC Network Coordination Team Meeting -Highlights

The RA VI Regional Climate Center (RCC) Network Coordination Team had an online discussion on key priorities for strengthening regional climate services and advancing collaboration across the RCC Network.

Discussions focused on:

• Strategic priorities for the RCC Network, including the continued development of climate services to address regional and user needs.
• Strengthening collaboration and partnerships, including opportunities to enhance synergies with Copernicus and other relevant initiatives.
• Preparations for upcoming WMO regional discussions, with a focus on the future direction and implementation of RCC Network operations.
• Services and applications, particularly seasonal forecasting, capacity development, knowledge exchange and improved access to climate information.
• Future development of the RCC Network, including ensuring that services and activities remain coordinated, complementary and responsive to evolving regional needs.

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of continued coordination among RCC Network members and partners to support effective climate information and services across WMO Region VI.
