(a) Keep under review the needs and opportunities of education and training as well as issues related to capacity building including Human Resources Development planning. (b) Undertake appropriate follow-up on fellowships matters and ensure timely response to questionnaires. (c) Collaborate with other experts, panels, associations, training institutions etc. on education and training issues. (d) Identify needs, effectiveness and opportunities of Computer Aided Distance Learning (CADL) programmes on meteorology and operational hydrology. (e) Follow-up on curriculum development and assist in the implementation of the new WMO classification of personnel. (f) Liaise with the regional Rapporteurs, WMO Regional Training Centres (WMO-RTCs) and other national training institutions on matters related to education and training. (g) Liaise with the Education and Training Office of the WMO and respond to periodic inquiries on education and training activities, including survey questionnaires on training needs and opportunities.
