WMO Fellowships Programme

Three people sit at a table with books, collaborating and looking at a laptop, with a world map and sky background behind them.

The WMO Fellowships Programme supports professionals worldwide to access advanced education and training in meteorology, hydrology and climate science, strengthening National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) and contributing to climate resilience. Delivered in collaboration with universities and training institutions globally, the Programme equips fellows with the expertise to improve forecasting, climate services, water resource management and disaster risk reduction.

With a focus on developing and climate-vulnerable countries, it fosters international collaboration and knowledge exchange while building a global network of experts. Fellows contribute to advancing meteorological research, strengthening forecasting systems and supporting climate resilience initiatives in their home countries and beyond.
