General information
By showcasing youth-led and youth-focused actions through the Annual Youth Actions and Learning Cycle, and featuring inspiring initiatives from across the Network, this space aims to strengthen visibility, peer learning and cross-regional exchange. It also provides guidance on building and leveraging partnerships with stakeholders such as universities, youth organizations, UN entities and civil society, alongside practical tools to support consistent and effective communication.
Annual Youth Actions and Learning Cycle
The Annual Youth Actions and Learning Cycle provides a simple, structured way for WMO Members to share and showcase youth-related initiatives, particularly in communications and partnerships under the Youth Action Plan.
Through an annual call, Members are invited to submit one youth-focused action implemented or planned during the year. These contributions highlight how youth engagement is put into practice, including through outreach, collaboration, and innovative approaches.
Selected examples are featured in an annual learning and showcase session, creating a space for exchange, peer learning, and cross-regional inspiration. Key insights and trends are then amplified through WMO communication channels and integrated into reporting to governing bodies.

The reception, a cherished World Meteorological Day tradition, gave colleagues, guests and partners a chance to connect informally and carry the spirit of the day beyond the ceremony hall.
Alongside it, the WMO Youth team hosted the Observing the Future exhibition, bringing to life the work of observation stations from around the world through displays, videos and on-site ambassadors. This exhibition was organized in collaboration with the WMO Gender team, Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW), Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF) and the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP).
