The Regional Association VI (Europe) Working Group on Research brings together experts from National Meteorological and Hydrological Services, research institutions and academia, with representatives of WMO Global Research Programmes invited to contribute.The Group ensures that operational meteorological, hydrological and related environmental services benefit from the latest scientific developments and innovations, while aligning regional priorities through engagement with the WMO Research Board. It implements the Regional Association VI Research Programme for 2025 and beyond and leads the biennial Regional Association VI Scientific Forum—endorsed in 2024—which integrates the former Hydrology Forum and promotes an Earth System approach for strengthened regional scientific exchange and collaboration.
