Scientific Advisory Group for Reactive Gases
The Scientific Advisory Group for Reactive Gases will continue to concentrate on key aspects of tropospheric ozone chemistry, with particular emphasis on ozone itself and its precursor species, including nitrogen oxides (NO and NO₂), carbon monoxide (CO), and selected volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as well as sulphur dioxide (SO₂). These gases are of significant importance as short-lived greenhouse gases, air pollutants, and agents that impact agriculture and natural ecosystems.
