The Steering Committee onfVegetation Fire and Smoke Pollution Warning Advisory and Assessment System (VFSP-WAS) under the Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) Programme seeks to enhance the ability of countries to deliver timely and quality vegetation fire and smoke pollution forecasts, observations, information and knowledge to users. This collaborative international partnership of research, operational and user communities facilitate the transfer of technology from research to serve society.  VFSP-WAS has specific regional activities that are coordinated by their associated regional centres.
