Under the guidance of the Executive Council, the Advisory Group on Global Greenhouse Gas Watch (AG-G3W) will provide oversight, coordination and monitoring of the Implementation Plan for the Global Greenhouse Gas Watch (G3W IP) that was approved by the Executive Council in June 2024.
AG-G3W will focus on the integration of infrastructure elements of the G3W into the WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS), the WMO Information System (WIS), and the WMO Integrated Processing and Prediction System (WIPPS), towards a better representation of greenhouse gases in the modelling systems.

History
The June 2024 meeting of the Executive Council (EC-78) decided to form a joint Advisory Group (AG-G3W) between INFCOM and RB, co-chaired by those designated by INFCOM and RB, to guide the implementation of the plan, with the appropriate involvement of external stakeholders to the present resolution.
The June 2024 EC meeting approved the ToR of the SG-GHG.
AG-G3W will oversee the implementation of G3W according to the G3W Concept (Cg-19 Resolution 5) and its Implementation Plan (EC-78 Resolution 3), which was developed by the Joint Study Group on WMO Greenhouse Gas Monitoring (SG-GHG), the SG-GHG was established following the decision by EC-75 and was dissolved after INFCOM-3 in April 2024, following the approval of the G3W Implementation Plan).
