Expert Team on Space Weather (ET-SWx)

The Expert team on Space Weather (ET-SWx) has been established within the INFCOM under the to Standing Committee on Earth Observing Systems and Monitoring Networks (SC-ON) to support the access to operational Space Weather data by participation in integration of ground and space-based Space Weather instrumentation and observational capabilities into OSCAR and other WIGOS Tools, execution of the Rolling Review Requirements, and work regarding the Space Weather recognition and protection in the international radio regulation at ITU-R level.

Working groups

In addition the team supports the integration of Space Weather into the WMO Infrastructure components of WIGOS, WIS, and WIPPS as well as support all other WMO activities in the domain of Space Weather.

The work follows on from that by Expert Team on Space Weather under SC-ESMP (Standing Committee on Data Processing for Applied Earth System Modelling and Prediction) in the period 2020-2024 and the earlier WMO Inter-Programme Team on Space Weather Information, Systems and Services (IPT-SWeISS) and Inter-programme Coordination Team on Space Weather (ICTSW).
