The Expert Team on WIS2 Implementation and Transition (ET-W2IT) develops and refines the overall WIS 2.0 system architecture to support all Earth-system domains, proposes new services based on Members’ needs, provides guidance on implementation and retirement of GTS/WIS1 functions, and develops API guidance. The team coordinates the transition from GTS/WIS1 to WIS 2.0, executes test plans, ensures testing infrastructure, recommends updates to regulatory materials, identifies standardization gaps, engages HMEI members for effective data exchange, and liaises with ET-W2DP and ET-WISOPS to ensure coherent WIS 2.0 implementation.
