The RA VI Management Group (MG) operates under the authority of the WMO Rules of Procedure for Regional Associations (WMO‑No. 1241) and the guidance of Congress Resolution 6 (Cg‑18).

The MG’s mandate, composition, and operational arrangements are defined by RA VI resolutions and decisions. The ToRs ensure that the MG provides strategic oversight and supports the implementation of regional priorities, while maintaining transparency and accountability to RA VI Members.
