The Expert Team on Surface-based and Basic Observing Networks (ET-SON) supports the development, coordination, and integration of surface-based and basic observing networks within WMO. It works to enhance data quality, accessibility, and consistency across WMO infrastructure and observational programs. This effort builds on previous WMO initiatives and expert teams in the domain of surface-based observations.
