Polar Coupled Analysis and Prediction for Services Project

This project will support Arctic and Antarctic communities by improving coupled models that capture weather impacts in an increasingly ice-free Arctic and a rapidly changing Antarctica. It depends on new high-resolution observations that map sea-ice thickness, surface conditions, deformation, and drift. These data enable predictions of fine-scale ice structures and movements essential for coastal safety, ecosystems, and navigation.
