National Focal Points for Weather Radar Metadata

The National Focal Points for Weather Radar Metadata group was, from 2020 to 2024, part of the Joint Expert Team on Operational Weather Radars (JET-OWR). JET-OWR’s purpose was to undertake tasks and provide advice supporting the implementation of the WIGOS framework and the priority activities of the WIGOS Operational Phase (2020–2023), in line with the Terms of Reference of both SC-MINT and SC-ON. Operating under the governance of SC-MINT, and with joint guidance from SC-MINT and SC-ON, JET-OWR served as WMO’s primary working group on operational weather radars.
