Aviation | News | 2021-10-06 | An informal guide on remote learning for the aeronautical meteorology community

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic restrictions, delivering hands-on training and maintaining competence in the aeronautical meteorology domain has suffered dramatically over the past 18 months.

As a result, training institutes and meteorological service providers have progressively shifted from traditional classroom-based instruction toward distance-based remote learning to enable competency training continuity.

The Expert Team on Education, Training and Competency (ET-ETC) of WMO's Standing Committee on Services for Aviation (SC-AVI) is committed to supporting WMO Members and their aeronautical meteorological service providers maintain the necessary continuity of training activities.

To this end, ET-ETC has developed an informal guide on remote learning, which is available here via the SC-AVI Moodle training portal.

Anyone wishing to subscribe, for free, to the Moodle training portal can do so via this link.
