2nd Virtual Meeting - RA II CP-Hydrology
The 2nd virtual meeting of the RA II Coordination Panel on Hydrology and Water Resources (RA II CP-Hydrology) was held virtually through videoconference on 6 September 2023. The meeting was chaired by Dr Hyo Seob Cho, Chair of RA II CP-Hydrology and co-chaired by Dr Sung Kim, Co-chair of RA II CP-Hydrology and Regional Hydrological Adviser for RA II.
Background
The 1st face-to-face meeting of the RA II CP-Hydrology in Vientiane, Lao PDR (November 2022) led to the development of the RA II Operating Plan in hydrology and water resources. The activities were distributed experts under the RA II CP-Hydrology, the Expert Team on Hydrometry (ET-HM) under RA II Working Group on Infrastructure (WG-I) and the Expert Team on Hydrological Services (ET-HS) under RA II Working Group on Services (WG-S). The milestones and deliverables corresponding to each of the activities were incorporated into the RA II Operating Plan.
Meeting Objectives
The 2nd virtual meeting served the following objectives:
- Review the progress of the activities against the RA II Operating Plan
- Identify issues to be addressed before the 2nd face-to-face meeting
- Provide feedback and recommendations on the activities
- Discuss the logistics and arrangements for the 2nd face-to-face meeting
