The Task Force supports the Executive Council in developing recommendations on possible adjustments to the WMO Strategic Plan 2024–2027 and Operating Plan 2026–2027 in light of ongoing liquidity challenges. It reviews financial scenarios, identifies priorities or potential deferrals of activities, and proposes practical options for consideration at EC-80 (June 2026). The group includes representatives from all WMO regions and works mainly through virtual collaboration.
